There were a lot of “firsts” at Gordon Training International in 2023–let’s get to them!
For the first time ever, L.E.T. was taught to a group that included inmates and jail staff at Morgan County Sheriff’s Department in Georgia, USA. Three local facilitators donated their time to teach (GTI donated the materials) the workshop onsite to this most unique group and it was an amazing experience for all.
In June, our Dutch Licensee, N.E.T., celebrated a huge accomplishment of training (over a three-year period) 1,000 L.E.T. Graduates and 35 L.E.T. Trainers for the Dutch Department of Defense—with plans to train more!
In October in Solana Beach, we had our first-ever all female L.E.T. Facilitator Workshop with Meike Lemmens as Master Facilitator, six participants representing four new L.E.T. clients, with Michelle Adams as workshop coach.
And for the first time, we now have an L.E.T. Licensee in Bulgaria. Darina Georgieva of Gordon Group Bulgaria, launched the program with a fabulous group of new trainer candidates in September. Additionally, our Australia Representative organization (E.T.I.A.) acquired the license and will re-boot the program in 2024!
Also worthy of note is that we revised all of the L.E.T. materials and announced their availability in January, 2023 and it has been very well received.
In other GTI news, Vivila Huang, who represents the East region of China, let us know that her Instructors have offered several T.E.T. courses for teachers in kindergartens and middle schools. And Y.E.T. is offered to freshman at Jian Xing Nan Yang college.
We had another successful P.E.T. Instructor Training Workshop here in San Diego (October) with new instructors from all over the USA with sixteen candidates—eight of whom will be teaching their first class in January, 2024. One instructor will be teaching P.E.T. to case-workers and foster parents; another will be teaching at a drug abuse center.
